Molecular Mechanisms of Topography Sensing by Osteoblasts: An Update
نویسندگان
چکیده
Bone is a specialized tissue formed by different cell types and multiscale, complex mineralized matrix. The architecture the surface chemistry of this microenvironment can be factors considerable influence on biology, affect proliferation, commitment to differentiation, gene expression, matrix production and/or composition. It has been shown that osteoblasts encounter natural motifs in vivo, with various topographies (shapes, sizes, organization), cultures flat surfaces do not reflect total potential tissue. Therefore, studies investigating role behavior are important order better understand interaction between cells surfaces, improve osseointegration processes vivo tissues biomaterials, find topographic enhance bone repair. In review, we evaluate main available data about topographies, techniques for topographies’ production, mechanical signal transduction from impact cell–surface interactions or preosteoblasts’ behavior.

Molecular mechanisms underlying gallic acid effects against cardiovascular diseases: An update review
Objective: The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) is growing. CVDs are the major cause of mortality and have become one of the most important health challenges in developing countries. Gallic acid (GA) is a natural phytochemical which has been widely used against multiple conditions. The present review was designed to evaluate molecular mechanisms underlying the prote...
متن کامل[Molecular Mechanisms of Insulin Resistance: An Update].
The biological actions of insulin are initiated by activating its membrane receptor, which triggers multiple signaling pathways to mediate their biological actions. Due to the importance of metabolic regulation and promoting functions of cell growth and proliferation, insulin actions are highly regulated to promote proper metabolic functioning and energy balance. If these mechanisms are altered...
متن کاملNano-topography sensing by osteoclasts.
Bone resorption by osteoclasts depends on the assembly of a specialized, actin-rich adhesive 'sealing zone' that delimits the area designed for degradation. In this study, we show that the level of roughness of the underlying adhesive surface has a profound effect on the formation and stability of the sealing zone and the associated F-actin. As our primary model substrate, we use 'smooth' and '...
متن کاملMolecular and cellular mechanisms of skeletal muscle atrophy: an update
Skeletal muscle atrophy is defined as a decrease in muscle mass and it occurs when protein degradation exceeds protein synthesis. Potential triggers of muscle wasting are long-term immobilization, malnutrition, severe burns, aging as well as various serious and often chronic diseases, such as chronic heart failure, obstructive lung disease, renal failure, AIDS, sepsis, immune disorders, cancer,...
